Meet The Facilitators: Arzum Akduran Köseoglu

7th October 2021 /Posted bywlockyer

Arzum is an ORSC facilitator, practitioner and organisational consultant based in Istanbul. Arzum has been facilitating ORSC courses with us since 2017, and has been part of ORSC faculty for a number of years. The next course she’s facilitating is our ORSC Fundamentals course starting on the 14th of October, 2021

We asked Arzum some questions to help partipants get to know their facilitator in the lead up to the course.

What’s your favourite ORSC principle?

I can’t differentiate, for me it’s more of a holistic model, I see each principle, in every other principle. And still, I started to teach Intelligence first. From that perspective, this one can be perceived as a favourite of mine.

Why did you want to become an ORSC facilitator?

I was always very much interested in systems, and was already working with organizations in a consulting capacity. Everything I noticed missing in organizations and systems, I found ORSC to be very relevant to bring those to systems. So, I became one.

Tell us about your background?

I studied Economical Sciences in University, which is a systemic understanding of the world from monetary perspective. I have never worked in banking and finance environment, I was not interested with that part of the discipline. I worked as a marketing and brand specialist in the corporate world, and concluded that part of my career as a Brand and Marketing manager. I quit, to build my own consulting company to design brand delivery and consumer experience processes. Soon after in my journey, I wanted to equip myself with more leadership methodologies, and trained myself as an individual and systemic coach. I’ve served my clients as an accredited coach since 2007, MCC level today and also train new coaches for the last 10 years as a faculty leader and supervisor.

What do you think your unique experience and background brings as a facilitator?

Multi-disciplinary training and corporate background, and being born and raised in a very diverse geography and environment.

What do you enjoy the most about being an ORSC facilitator?

Meeting and working with diversity and learning as well from the participants.

When you’re not coaching and facilitating, what do you enjoy doing?

Nature, walks in the forest, taking care of my garden and enjoying my flowers, sailing! And my dogs and my son 

Do you have any advice for those interested in signing up for ORSC?

Understanding systems and relationship is a strong asset in life, no matter [if] you are a professional in the domain, this will evolve you as a leader, partner, parent, human being.
