Reconnecting the world with relationships as a coach

Unashamedly Reconnecting the World with Relationships

9th June 2022 /Posted byRadu Cocis

We’re still buzzing from Tuesday’s community event, where we came together to unashamedly embrace the “R” in ORSC. Thanks to all the participants for your passion, engagement, and input. Here’s what we explored, learned, and LOVED about Wednesday’s event:

We reaffirmed the power of relationships

As Organisation and Relationship Systems Coaches, we need to demystify the “relationship” part of what we do. It’s a word that many people associate with romantic relationships or couples counseling, when in fact relationships are everywhere.

As a community, we are embracing the fact that we are proud relationship workers in the organisational context as well as every other context in-between. What matters to us is Relationships.

We shared what ORSC means to us

One of our favourite comments from the session sums up what many of us may have thought when we first encountered ORSC, “I didn’t know what I was walking into. I just trusted that something great would happen and eight years later here I am.”

We talked about what the world would be like if everyone focused on relationships

We explored the importance of becoming responsible, of having a voice, of remaining curious about relationships. We talked about the value of trust and belonging – both within a relationship and in the wider system. We  brought in the voice of AI (the voice raised at our last community event) and how we can embrace technology in the future, and we explored how embracing a sense of responsibility, accountability and ownership of relationships would completely change the dynamic of the political events which unfolded over the past few days!

The event was an amazing experience, skillfully facilitated by Trudy Wright, Rob Allen and Philippe Guenet.

As true ORSC practitioners, we took the time to reveal what’s going on in our own system and we look forward to coming together soon to align and act.
