How ORSC Course Leaders Transform the Learning Experience

Leading by Example: How ORSC Course Leaders Transform the Learning Experience

31st August 2025 /Posted byLouise Blackman

In every ORSC course, the content is powerful—but it’s the leaders who bring it to life. Again and again, we hear from participants how the relationship between the course leaders not only supports their learning, but models the very principles of Relationship Systems Intelligence in real time.

What happens when co-leaders trust each other deeply, hold space with humility and humour, and embody the spirit of systems coaching? Something remarkable unfolds. Participants don’t just learn the tools—they feel them in action.

“Their relationship is respectful, playful and supportive. This created a wonderful learning environment for all of us.”

“Very natural, one can see you have been working together for a long time. It helps the flow, it creates a space of comfort and safety. Enjoyed the light-heartedness and how you held space for each other—it was great to see ‘leading by example’.”

Whether virtual or in-person, our ORSC leaders bring a felt sense of coherence, connection, and ease that shapes every moment of the course. Their dynamic isn’t static—it’s alive. Responsive. A third entity that models curiosity, grace, and power-in-partnership.

“The third entity was at once serious and playful, wise and curious, challenging and safe. It was a useful dichotomy—like a ball of colourful rubber bands bouncing along, with many strands to discover.”

“I think their third entity has a lot of energy of awakening… gentle, sacred, like a picturesque mountain view in springtime… the perfect temperature for learning.”

Participants consistently describe the impact of co-leadership not just in terms of atmosphere, but in how it deepens their own capacity to lead, coach, and collaborate.

“The way they navigated dialogue, challenge and difference so easily helped us absorb the learning on multiple levels—not just in what they were teaching, but in how they were relating.”

“Apart from course learning, I’ve cached some tips for the practice with my colleagues. The leaders modeled what I want to create in my own team.”

And then there’s the intangible—but unforgettable—sense of warmth, trust and joy that’s infused in the space they hold.

“Wisdom, depth, lightness, rigour, humility, service.”

“Dance of two spirits—playful, deep, safe, and emergent.”

“Deep friendnership (friendship + partnership); made my learning easy, pleasant, powerful.”

When we talk about ORSC leaders, we’re not just talking about facilitators of content. We’re talking about systems leaders in action—people who know how to listen to what’s trying to happen and let it emerge with strength and care.

“Together and joyful. Rich and wise. Curious and in service together. This is a model example of how great partnering can show up in this type of work. Thank you to two wonderful people, for making this step of the journey truly worthwhile.”

So if you’re thinking about stepping into ORSC training—know that you’re not just learning tools. You’re entering a relational field shaped by leaders who walk the talk, honour the system, and make room for the kind of transformation that lingers long after the course ends.

Here’s to the art of co-leadership, and to the beautiful, bold systems we’re all learning to steward—together.
